If they play liked they did against the Pats on Sunday, they have the talent to win 5 games this year... nod.gif

5 games. Wow, what a powerhouse. At this point, I'm rooting for the #1 pick overall <sigh>.

The rest of his at bats were not bad either. It will be the at bat he will always be remembered by.

I have to root for him as he was someone that everybody could look up to and admire. My daughter named her puppy Jeter and has his jersey. My grandson wants a Jeter jersey now, and asked for number 2 from his little league coach.

He played the game like Yaz did. With dignity and class. A truly great adversary . . . :applaud:

                  • Time to roll up the sleeves and patch together new Yankee and Red Sox squads for next year. Which players are they both going after in the off season?

Sox gotta 'Pony-up' for 2 top tier starters.
I'm hoping for Lester to keep his word on accepting a 'Home Town Discount', (length in years, not money). I'd also like Shields too.
Giancarlo Stanton would be a nice Christmas stocking stuffer! - nod.gif

I think you went three for three. Much better than Mujica, Drew, and Pierzynski.

                          • I think the Yankees will continue with Hal's plan to reduce payroll and get under the luxury tax threshold.
I think he's preparing to sell the team.

I wonder how many $B's it will go for? You want to chip in? - :twocents:

I sure would have liked to have had Jetes on the Bosox for his career...what higher praise can you have for an opposing player?

I'm hoping the Bosox don't sign ANY big names for a couple of years, probably would be a waste.

He'd be selling low, but I'm sure he'd still do fine. Guess the TV revenue is locked in for some time no matter what the team does in the short term.
