Not as impressive as your Cubbies were last year. Good for them. I was rooting for them all the way, once the Sox were eliminated, of course. BTW, you're welcome for Theo! -

You're welcome, of course. I'm sure you'll have no problem setting me up with a couple of World Series tickets this year if your Cubbies make it that far again, right? Buddy?
Wouldn't a Fenway-Wrigley World Series be one for the ages? The only parks left that Babe Ruth actually played in!

              • Ken... tried to PM you but this new interface... smh... anywho...

BTW, it's waaaaay to early to be talking crap. Don't you remember 1978 (or 2004)? "It ain't over 'til it's over." --Yogi

Currently, I'm working on some "life fulfillment" during my retirement. Namely, my childhood dream to be an auto mechanic and, thus, I'm training at my family's dealership. So I'm pretty busy... all the time. Love it tho.

                • I'm retired as well (and I agree..this new interface is as easy as a 6 year old kid batting against Koufax in his prime). I find I;m working more now than before I retired. I'm planning on restoring a car at this end.

                  • Wow, what a game. A 17-1 win over Toronto.

Yankees lose again. Feeling good about how the Sox are playing.

                      • The most memorable All-Star Game moments for the Boston Red Sox

Ted Williams honored at 1999 All-Star Game
The 1999 All-Star Game was held at Fenway Park in Boston, and prior to the game, Hall of Famer and Red Sox legend Ted Williams was honored on the field. The All-Century Team was unveiled during a pregame ceremony and Williams threw out the first pitch as all the All-Stars and Hall of Famers in attendance cheered. It was pretty awesome.

Here's a video of Williams' introduction and first pitch. Honorable mention goes to Williams' walk-off home run in the 1941 All-Star Game and Pedro Martinez's dominance in 1999 and Carl Yastrzemski who in the 1970 ASG, won the MVP collecting 4 hits.

                        • Well, clearly the Yankees went all in before the deadline. I was disappointed the Sox didn't pick some power help. We need Price back from the DL early next week, the latest. The only way we can win the A.L. East is that our young hitters return to last seasons form. Eduardo Nunez has been a surprisingly good power pickup and his defense is better than was advertised.
