As everyone knows, when a wins the division, they go back to the clubhouse and party, spraying champaign everywhere and just go nuts. Well the Diamondbacks won the division last year. Justin Upton was on that team. Justin Upton was 20, and the legal drinking age is 21. Did he still get champaign? Is there an exception to the law that has to due with being a professional baseball player? Im sure this problem has happened more than once.

They cinched the division title in Colorado where consumption is prohibited with exceptions. I believe winning the division title and drinking in a private clubhouse is one of the exceptions Colorado allows. If Upton's dad or other family member over 20 was in the clubhouse, all bases were covered.
The legal buying age of alcohol is 21 in all states. The consumption age for alcohol is not. Illinois is also a state that consumption is prohibited with exceptions.
Many of the states that have chosen to specifically prohibit alcohol consumption by those under age 21 have a variety of exceptions. For example,
Some States allow an exception for consumption when a family member consents and/or is present. States vary widely in terms of which relatives may consent or must be present for this exception to apply and in what circumstances the exception applies. Sometimes a reference is made simply to "family" or "family member" without further elaboration.
....
Some States allow an exception for consumption on private property. States vary in the extent of the private property exception which may extend to all private locations, private residences only, or in the home of a parent or guardian only. In some jurisdictions, the location exception is conditional on the presence and/or consent of the parent, legal guardian, or legal-age spouse.
Some States also allow exceptions for educational purposes (e.g., students in culinary schools), religious purposes (e.g., sacramental use of alcoholic beverages), or medical purposes
The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 states that revenue will be withheld from states that allow the purchase of alcohol by anyone under the age of 21. Some states do not allow those under the legal drinking age to be present in liquor stores or in bars (usually, the difference between a bar and a restaurant is whether food is being served). Contrary to popular belief, since the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984, few states specifically prohibit minors' and young adults' consumption of alcohol in private settings. As of January 1, 2007, 14 states and the District of Columbia ban underage consumption outright, 19 states do not specifically ban underage consumption, and an additional 27 states have family member and/or location exceptions to their underage consumption laws. [8]
Federal law explicitly provides for religious, medical, employment and private club possession exceptions; as of 2005, 31 states have family member and/or location exceptions to their underage possession laws. [9]
Underage purchase of alcohol, though illegal in all fifty states, is not a felony, but a misdemeanour. See Underage drinking in the United States. Additionally, exceptions exist on certain military installations, for instance Fort Bliss, Texas, where the Commanding General lowered the age to 18 to reduce the number of soldiers traveling out of the country to nearby Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, to drink.

I think all the 19 year olds and 20 year olds in MLB have had a sip at least once or twiceI remember in 2006 when the Yanks clinched Melky was in the middle of celebration when he was 20. I think he might have had a little! I don't think there is ever going to be cops busting into clubhouses for underage drinking like it's some sort of frat party.

Nope .
What is the drinking age in Louisiana?
The legal drinking age in Louisiana is 21, it is not 18.
LSA R.S. 93:11 makes it illegal to sell alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of twenty-one years.
LSA R.S. 93:12 makes it illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to purchase or have public possession of an alcoholic beverage.
LSA R.S. 93:13 makes it illegal for anyone to buy alcoholic beverages for anyone under the age of 21 years except for a parent, guardian or spouse of the person under 21.
So, it would appear that someone under 21 years cannot buy or have in his possession (in public) any alcoholic beverage. It would also appear that it would not be illegal for someone under 21 to drink at home if a parent buys the booze.
“The legal age for alcohol in the USA is 21 years old. The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 required all states to raise their minimum purchase and public possession of alcohol age to 21. States that did not comply faced a reduction in highway funds under the Federal Highway Aid Act. The U.S. Department of Transportation has determined that all states are in compliance with this act. The national law specifically prohibits purchase and public possession of alcoholic beverages. It does not prohibit persons under 21 (also called youth or minors) from drinking. The term "public possession" is strictly defined and does not apply to possession for the following:Additionally, exceptions exist on certain military installations, for instance Fort Bliss, Texas, where the Commanding General lowered the age to 18 to reduce the number of soldiers traveling out of the country to nearby Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, to drink.

In Wisconsin, you cand rink at 18, but your legal guardian has to be there."I don't like to sound egotistical, but every time I stepped up to the plate with a bat in my hands, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the pitcher."

So unless you were caught in the act of purchasing it, nothing could be done to you legally. I don't remember what year it was exactly (I was in High School), but these loopholes were closed. Then a few years later, the new law was put on "hold" while someone contested it. It has since been upheld.
Most places still allow 18 year olds to get in, and not a whole lot of them enforce the consumption rules either. Louisiana has always been pretty lenient with its drinking laws.

The Navy let us drink at 18 but only on base in SanDiego."(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack
"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)
