Looking at old uniforms in another thread made me think when was the first time teams went from having those old wool uniforms and went with the polyester ones? And who was the first team to use them. I know must of been sometimes in the 70's I know why I can't imagine how the played in those heavey wool uniforms during the summer.

'70 the Pirates did indeed have the first polyesters, St. Louis and a couple of others added them the next year
