  • Need help for a Barry Bonds Halloween costume

Ok, don't ask. I'm a huge fan and my friends know it, so this will crack them up beyond belief. I already have a cross earring. I can easily get the Jersey and hat on eBay. I can also even get fake muscles. What I need help with big time is the MLB pants and body armor that he always wore. Someone please help, Halloween is fastly (is that a word?) approaching!
Lou Gehrig is the Truest Yankee of them all!

Can you work up a paiper-mache' head?

They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

      Home pants or road pants?

I think you could get by with some regular pants from your sporting goods store.

Besides the obvious accoutrements, I think the big head is what sells it.

Simple gray or white pants from a sporting good store will do, good post above.

Make sure they are seven sizes too LONG. Perhaps a label across the zipper that says "shrinking". A generic tube of lotion you have marked "cream" and one that would suffice (hair gel in a see through pkg?) for the "clear.". Even though a liquid/droplets would be correct, cream and clear will get it done I think.

saw costume Saturday night. ... was Y Molina .. with a piano strapped to his back. From the old metaphor "he runs like he has a piano strapped to his back".
I know that doesn't really work for Barry bonds but.... thought I'd pass it along, just in case anybody's going out Wednesday night and is stuck for an idea
