    My vote goes to Jeff Wilpon. His team plays in the biggest market in New York but is now handling the Mets like a small market team. From his settlement in the Madoff scheme (I think he HAD to know something was fishy) to his tendency to lie to the fanbase, to his refusal to spend competitively on payroll despite making a mint from the SNY TV network. Plus he always tries to make the player look bad when a deal isn't worked out. For example, he bashed Reyes in a magazine article and then failed to even make him an offer, despite Reyes being a fan favorite and one of the best players on the team. I feel sorry for Mets fans.

      I'm gonna have to mull this over. It depends on how much taxpayer money Loria got and what he said to get it.


      Edit: The Mets cretin is still Fred. Not that the son of cretin Jeff is not bound to be the subject of these polls in years to come.

            While still receiving revenue sharing and no longer having to split with the Dolphins. Add in his fraud & racketeering lawsuit from his days in Montreal, and he's building himself quite a legacy.

              Yesterday, I would have said Wilpon without hesitation. Today, I voted for Loria. It takes a Herculean effort to be a worse owner than Wilpon, but Loria's apparently up to the task.

                Fred Wilpon must have known something was up, or he can count himself lucky to have any wealth at all. That said, I must vote on McCourt because he had a fabulous franchise and then ran it aground. His story is the very best example of hubris I can think of in sports.

                And then with that said, where is David Glass in this poll? What he has done with the Royals is worthy for this poll, IMO.

                    I was wondering where David Glass was. I mean, some fans in Kansas City bought a full-page newspaper ad to beg Glass to sell the Royals.
                    The Mets have the best, smartest fans in baseball.
