  • Ken Burns 'Baseball' on Blu Ray?

Time for a weird question: Is there any technical issue which would prevent the entire series from being released on Blu-Ray?

I know the Tenth Inning is already available on BR. But is it theoretically possible that the whole series could be made available that way? If not, why not?

(I'm not asking if it would make business sense to do this, I'm just wondering if it would be technically possible. For instance, it is IMpossible to have a Blu-Ray release of any show shot on videotape, because the maximum resolution of videotape is so low. But the maximum resolution of film, which is what Baseball was shot on, is much higher even than Blu-Ray)

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

Of course it's possible. March of the Wooden Soldiers is available on Blu-ray, and that's from the 30's. You can put low rez on Blu-ray, even 480i, just not anything higher than 1080p.
Lou Gehrig is the Truest Yankee of them all!

What resolution of film was this shot on?

They are seemingly re-releasing everything else on Blu-Ray...I can see no reason why they wouldn't give 'Baseball' the same treatment.
