    Crass commercialism or creative vision?

I believe in all that - in baseball, in picnics, in freedom. Walt Whitman, 1888

    The two aren't mutually exclusive.
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

If you build it, they will come.

That's what they thought in South Bend, Indiana when they brought the college football Hall of Fame there about twenty years ago. They didn't come, and now the museum contents are in storage waiting on the new building to be ready in Atlanta.

It's bad enough there are two Field of Dreams souvenir stands competing at the same location. . . any more development and it will be ruined. IMO, anyway.

Haven't been there since 2003, but if this is what it's come to, then I'm glad I made the effort to see it when I did.

Only in the book. The movie cut out all that mushy stuff.
