Bernie Williams just signed a one year, $1.5 mill contract. That represents a paycut of $10.86 million from his salary last year.

Is that the biggest paycut in the history of professional sports? Michael Jordan got paid $34 million a year less with Washington than he did his last year with Chicago, but since he was his own GM, he was essentially paying himself.

Piazza was making $15M last year, when he signs, the cut could be worst than Bernie's

With all these huge contracts that will end with washed up veterans being grossly overpaid I think this is a record that will be set on an annual basis.

Yeah, but he deserves even less than this.

Well, that officially happened. Piazza went from earning $16.07 mill last season with the Mets to $2 mill with the 'Dres. Who's up for the award next year?

How much of a cut did Frank Thomas take?

Technically, Sammy Sosa is taking an even bigger cut - going from $17M to $0.00.

Is Bagwell's contract up after this year? He could be next year's guy.

$8 Million last year and down to $500,000 guarenteed this year with a total of $2.6 Million if incentives are met. Not as much of a drop off as others though.
