For example, on August 12, 1993, exactly one year prior to the strike, the Braves actually trailed the Giants by MORE games (8.5) than they did in 1994 to the Expos but yet still won the division.

So, no, it has been 14 consecutive titles.
My point is that even if no division titles were given out, the Braves still don't have 14 consecutive titles. How can they have 14 consecutive titles if the Braves didn't win the 1994 title? I consider the Expos the 1994 NL East champs. Yes, I'm being nit picky.

I'm scared of the Mets no doubt, especially now that they have a good closer in Wagner, but none the less, the Braves always find a way to finish first in the marathon that is the regular season, they've got the pitching to do it, and with the Jones boys in the line up, I think they can win it again, either way, why bet against them after 14 years.

That's what everyone said last year and the year they got Mo Vaughn, Jeromy Burnitz, and Roberto Alomar. We'll see about it!

I think the Braves can do it again and with an even more competitive division they'll win in convincing fashion. I can't wait for the season to BEGIN!!

That's not being nitpicky, it's being absurd. Nobody won anything in 1994 and nobody can say what would've happened over the last 6 weeks.

I think history alone is enough reason to pick the Braves. Even if it weren't 14 years in a row, the last 2 years Bobby Cox has done enough with so many question marks to convince me to never bet against him. I think this could be the tightest race in a while but until somebody proves they can hang with Atlanta all year I'll pick them every time. And besides that, with all this young talent and some pretty good veterans as well the Braves have a pretty good roster even if there were no streak. I say Braves win in 06

I'd say the Braves have a good chance on making it again this year. Now if this was a poll as to whether they would do anything with it besides being eliminated I wouldn't be so sure.

The Mets are probably the Braves biggest threat in the East this year.
