I have a question for you guys:

We are doing another poll for Left Fielders.

My question is would you like to do one for DH's? RP's? SP's?

    What do you think???

In my opinion ... Juan Pierre is the most underrated player on this poll. Yet, it makes sense, because speed is underrated in the major leagues in general. But, his numbers/accomplishments don't lie. Brady Clark is a bit overrated on this poll. And, again - in this situation - history counts. Thusly, Griffey could have gone #1 if it hadn't been for the injuries ... and Finley and Lofton definitely have to get some major historical points. But, that's just me.
Pierre's arm is bad, his range in CF is just decent... doesnt make many errors and his stealing of bases is overrated (gets caught way too much)... doesn't walk, doesnt hit for power, posted an OBP below .333 (reaching base once every 3 plate apperances) and an OPS below .700

Carlos Beltran does pretty much everything Pierre does, with a better arm in CF, better range, higher fielding percentage, could steal just as many bases at a better rate (not his fault the Mets dont let him run like the Royals and Astros did).... hits for power, walks more...

really no reason at all, using stats, Pierre should be higher than Beltran

I'll have my list in a day or too, goin to bed now

Brannu, you are aware of the season Pierre had last season, correct? Anyway, Brady Clark coming off a good solid season while Pierre coming off a horrid season. If Pierre can bounce back, then he would move up back in the league of elite CF. Right now, he's in disappointment section with players like Finley and Lowell. Doesn't mean they can't regain their glory.

Also, Pierre's arm sucks. His speed makes up for his weak arm, which is similar to Damon.

Current Top 10 Center Fielders Poll

This is the seventh installment of the positon polls for current players. To vote, simple list the top 10 center fielders that are active in order from best (#1) to least (#10). The results will be tabulated and will be announced on jan 19 @ 9 PM or 2 days after the last ballot was submitted. The points will be alloted based on the player's ranking on each list (1st place gets 10, 2nd gets 9, 3rd gets 8, etc.) Remember, YOU MUST LIST 10!!!!!

Although you may vote for whomever you see fit I strongly urge you to consider offensive as well as defensive preformance. Also, try to rate players in either preformance in the 2005 mlb season or preformance in the last 3-4 years. However, you may can use career performance as a factor.
