  • I wonder how many people noticed but the Reds gave up back-to-back-to-back homers to lead off a game.
Unlike most other team sports, in which teams usually have an equivalent number of players on the field at any given time, in baseball the hitting team is at a numerical disadvantage, with a maximum of 5 players and 2 base coaches on the field at any time, compared to the fielding team's 9 players. For this reason, leaving the dugout to join a fight is generally considered acceptable in that it results in numerical equivalence on the field, and a fairer fight.

Agreed. A MLB time that doesn't have an indicator? Please.
(For those of you who don't know, an indicator is a sign given before a real sign, for example, touching the hat before the steal sign. No hat touch, and the coach can give whatever sign he wants and they don't count. Basically every team above little league has one of these.)

(Just realized this topic is weeks old, but still )
