  • Current Top 10 Left Fielders Poll

This is the eighth installment of the positon polls for current players. To vote, simple list the top 10 left fielders that are active in order from best (#1) to least (#10). The results will be tabulated and will be announced on jan 26 @ 9 PM or 2 days after the last ballot was submitted. The points will be alloted based on the player's ranking on each list (1st place gets 10, 2nd gets 9, 3rd gets 8, etc.) Remember, YOU MUST LIST 10!!!!!

Although you may vote for whomever you see fit I strongly urge you to consider offensive as well as defensive preformance. Also, try to rate players in either preformance in the 2005 mlb season or preformance in the last 3-4 years. However, you may can use career performance as a factor.

I believe Cabrera moving to 3B full-time with the departure of Mike Lowell.

Adam Dunn being moved into 1B with the departure of Casey. Pena is going to be the full time left fielder for the Reds.

            1. Manny Ramirez
            2. Barry Bonds
            3. Hideki Matsui
            4. Carl Crawford
            5. Jason Bay
            6. Scott Podsednik
            7. Coco Crisp
            8. Lance Berkman
            9. Garrett Anderson
            10. Pat Burrell

You could count Soriano as a left fielder, since that's where the Nationals will play him, but I doubt we'll see at this point, so left him off my list for the time being.

Why is Dunn and Cabrera still being ranked? Dunn and Cabrera are no longer playing LF. They been moved to different position and being made full-time players of those position they have been placed.

They both played the majority of their games at LF last year...

2005 Barry? You mean 14 games played after 10 months of inactivity Barry? How can you judge him by that?

i assume he wont be as good, therefore I'm judging him at #4, beacuse his level of greatness had been so high before

Fair enough. But isn't this poll for the best Left fielders right now? Have you seen Barry play now? How can you assume he won't be good, of course he won't be as good but ranking Carl Crawford above one of the greatest doesn't seem to logical, especially since you haven't seen Bonds play lately.
