I don't care who gets the TV coverage as long as it is available to Fox and ESPN in Australia. Those who are so against certain commentators always have the option of the mute button - after all there is no commenatry at the game - pretend you are at the ballpark!!

I'm too young to remember but wasn't Vin Scully behind the mic during the NBC years also? I'd love to see him back on the national stage. It's sad to say, but he doesn't have many years left in him. I want to soak up as much of him as possible, being a fairly young guy and an Easterner.

Tro, you took the words out of my mouth -- uh, off my keyboard. I was about to say something about getting down on my knees and thanking the baseball gods for the imminent end of FOX's inane, ulcer-causing baseball coverage.

MLBN would be such a blessing. Baseball year-round? Arizona Fall League coverage, to ease us into the Void? Caribbean Winter League coverage, to make us forget the snow outside the window? Oh, I hope, I hope....

    New Network

When the contract runs out at the end of the '06 season, Bug will have numerous choices to negotiate, including one that Raissman missed: MLBN. Nothing would please me more than a year-round baseball only network. Of course, it wouldn't be launched full throttle the first season, but it is well within the realm of possibility to carry a couple hundred games in '07, expand to a thousand the next, and finally carry all 2430 (or 2592 is MLB expands to 32 teams) by 2010. In the meantime, ESPN and NBC will carry their limited schedules including the post-season. If the baseball gods are smiling on us, McBlather will have his air supply cut off, and we will no longer be subjected to the phony Fox foolishness.

I hope Fox gets sweet piss all and McCarver gets his butt bounced to the curb.

I'm not a huge fan of Costas, but at least he has the brains God gave a duck.

I'm just hoping that Fox gets a little part of the deal so games will air on Fox Sports Net.
