Figgins is going to leadoff, but Casey Kotchman is the projected starter at 1B.

Acutally Kevin Youkilis is being given the chance to start at first and J.T. Snow is going to fill a role like John Olerud did last season.

--I don't think Johjima is very fast, but he does (or did in Japan anyway) have a very good OBP. He also has some power too, which Reed does not. If Reed makes the kind of progress his minor league numbers suggest he should, he is a natural for the 2 hole. He'll probably never be a big RBI guy down the lineup.

Yeah, like some strategic bus accidents in Anahiem, Arlington, and Oakland.

It will be interesting to see how fast Jojhima is. Reed seems like the natural fit.

He was our leadoff guy in 2005, and he was, and I must admit, pretty weak for a leadoff. It wasn't my choice that he was at the number one spot, it was La Russa's decision.

Every Met fan has been waiting, so now bring on the Mets lineup!

    1. Jose Reyes - SS
    2. Whoever the Second Baseman that's playing (Boone or Matsui) - 2B
    3. Carlos Beltran - CF
    4. Xavier Nady - RF
    5. Carlos Delgado - 1B
    6. Cliff Floyd - LF
    7. David Wright - 3B
    8. Paul LoDuca - C
    9. Pitcher

    (rearrange this for your liking)

    Starter1: Pedro Martinez
    Starter2: Aaron Heilmann
    Starter3: Tom Glavine
    Starter4: Victor Zambrano
Starter5: Steve Traschel (hope he rebounds from 2005 and posts similar numbers to 1996)
    Closer: Billy Wagner

Man, this starting rotation makes me a little worried about bad pitching in our rotation...

Not a bad team, if they stay healthy, I think they could contend in the central.
