I dont think you guys need an explanation for this thread. I am going to say Albert Pujols. He is a fantastic player, and a huge asset to the cardinals. What do you guys think???

Actually, next year = this year, so please forgive me and my calendar, so I've added the obvious 2006 in parenthesis.
Anyway, I have it between Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez. Of course, Derrek Lee could surprise us again. I'm also wondering if Andruw Jones will do a repeat of his 2005 season.
EDIT: How the heck did closer Brad Lidge get on there? Is he going to be serving up meatballs to Pujols? Please read Baseball Fever Policy and Forum FAQ before posting. 2007-11 CBA
Rest very peacefully, John “Buck” O'Neil (1911-2006) & Philip Francis “Scooter” Rizzuto (1917-2007)

For the AL I think A-Rod will lead and hopefully hit over 50.
In the NL I cant go against a healthy Bonds, with Pujols a close second.
I see it being the 3rd time ever that the AL and NL have guys with 50+ homeruns"I see no reason why a small-market team like the Twins or Expos can't continue to remain competitive, just because it lacks players," Selig said.

Lee was always a good player, But lastyear he was a great player, maybe the best in baseball.
I like Lee, I hope he can play at his 2005 level for the rest of his career, but that seems unlikely.

The dude jacked 5 bombs in 14 games lastyear, after pretty much walking out of the hospital.
Infact, they were all hit in pitchers parks.

Originally posted by DontworryBonds is more likely to hit more homeruns than Lee if healthy, IMO, putting aside the " steroid scandal " and age.
