  • Current Top 10 Middle Relievers Poll

This is the ninth installment of the positon polls for current players. To vote, simple list the top 10 middle relievers that are active in order from best (#1) to least (#10). A middle reliever is any relief pitcher who is not a closer. The results will be tabulated and will be announced on feb 3 @ 9 PM or 2 days after the last ballot was submitted. The points will be alloted based on the player's ranking on each list (1st place gets 10, 2nd gets 9, 3rd gets 8, etc.) Remember, YOU MUST LIST 10!!!!!

Although you may vote for whomever you see fit I strongly urge you to consider offensive as well as defensive preformance. Also, try to rate players in either preformance in the 2005 mlb season or preformance in the last 3-4 years. However, you may can use career performance as a factor.

Perhaps reading the persons post is overrated... but he clearly stated:

Danys Baez had over 40 saves last season, I do believe he would count as a closer

Well, thanks for answer the question, despite that snide comment. Just happen to miss that part of his post at the time. I'll try not to do that in future.

I'm going with this year myself. I didn't rank Dunn and Cabrera in LF poll since they're no longer LF. I will rank relief pitchers that are no longer closers and won't rank those becoming closers this year.

I won't vote cause I'm not well informed about ALL the relievers on the league, so I don't want my votes to be unaccurate. The thing that surprised me, is that none of you have chosen Scott Linebrink I guess going 8-1 with an ERA of 1.83 and a 1.05 WHIP as a reliever ain't good enough nowadays...

You know as well as I that the SOLE reason he doesnt get the recognition is that the finest city in america is always looked down on with regards to sports.
