  • NRIs (Non-Roster Invitees)

Back in 2004, the Dodgers invited Jose Canseco to spring training, and I believe it's the last attempt by anyone to give him a job in baseball. What are the most noted NRIs on your team, and who are some of the most bizarre names?

Tim Salmon is for the Angels. He's got no job to win and he's coming off of a lot of injuries, so he's probably just trying to prove that he can play off the bench for some crap team somewhere.

Pretty blah situation for the dude whos pretty much 'Mr Angel'.

For the previous two years for the Braves it had to be Julio Franco. This year the most noted NRI should be Mike Remlinger... If he overcomes his health problems he could prove a valuable addition to the bullpen.

The Yankees have invited Al Leiter, Ramiro Mendoza & Ben Davis to camp. I think Davis may have a chance to beat out Kelly Stinnett for the backup job.

I doubt it, why else would Stinnet have signed with NYY and Cashman felt that ''he was the right choice'' ?
