  • Should the Nationals carry 2000 infielders or 2001?

I'm really thinking we should sign Roberto Alomar to a deal for added depth.
The Q: Can the Cubs hold a 6-5 lead with 2 outs and nobody on in the 9th?

    The A: No

    ***********My Rant on Bud Selig***********
Selig is like a stray pigeon. Pigeons are too self-absorbed to care about anyone else. They poo on people they don't like; they poo on people they don't even know. The only real difference between Selig and a pigeon is that Selig intends to bury our heritage, our traditions, and our culture,

That's tough with only a 40-man roster. And where will they put them all?

I presume this was for guys who'd played in the years 2000 or 2001, not the number of players on a roster.

No it was a joke considering we have 24 infielders right now on the spring training roster. I exaggerated by saying: Should we have 2000 or 2001 infielders on our team?

2001? Why stop there? Just keep on going up!

I take it your team isn't banking on too many outfield flies then. 24 Are including 1B and C in that? I might expect pitchers to be on with that many.
            Johnson and now Goligoski gone.
            I hope that's all.

Includes C and 1B...our OF doesn't look that bad anyway. Tucker is a little old, but the rest are all young and upcoming.

I think its hilarious that the Nats were able to sign a SS (Royce Clayton) that is actually bad enough to be a backup for Christian Guzman.
