I sure wish they'd tie him up for 3 years or so. He has great stuff is a workhorse and likes to have the ball in any situation. Say, isn't that what they have wanted out of Wood for oh 6 years or so?

He's the ace of the staff if you ask me. When it comes to big games, he steps up. Plus his arm seems to be made of rubber, he throws alot of innings.

        No anger management for Z-man

I really like the intensity he brings to every game, too. Maddux pitched two more innings than Carlos last season, but was not quite as effective. (Greg was 13-15, Z-man 14-6) A little run support goes a long way for hothead, plus Zambrano only gave up 81 earned runs in 223.1 IP, had 202 strikeouts, and is so animated when he does his job well. Like Maddux, he's no slouch with the stick, and really loves to hit. He fields his position quite well for as round as he is, but he does need to work on his control, he gave up 86 walks in '05, and too many of them at really bad times.
