best preseason baseball mag

What is everyone's opinion of the best (most accurate, best read) preseason baseball magazine out there? Im refering to the special edition magazines that Street and Smith, the Sporting News, Beckett etc. put out each year. Which is the best to invest your 7-10 bucks into? Thanks. -Sasha

I've seen Sporting News and Street & Smith so far. Of the two this year, The Sporting News looks like the best one.

I personally like the season preview/player scouting mags like Lindy's. I think that and The Sporting News are the only two that produce good scouting reports. Actually, TSN's scouting reports mag is so obscure that their telephone operators don't even know what it is when I call! Lots of copies end up at Borders, though.

I started to buy Petersen's. After a couple of years, the bookstore where I bought it only sold The Sporting News'. After they stopped selling that one, I went to the American Bookstore in Amsterdam, where the had Street & Smiths.
Now I can't find them anywhere in Holland.

But I must say that all three of the above are pretty good. IMO there is hardly any difference.

Just bought Street & Smith's today. Looks pretty good. And they are pretty smart in my eyes, picking the Giants to win the West. Looks like it has some good articles in the front on pitchers and steroids, all-time best HR hitters, and the "Black Aces."
