This is insane! Another LEGEND gone...sigh. We've watched history literally disappear for us this year.

Prayers for his soul and his family.

Another great gone, possibly one of the five greatest.

The thing about Henry that always stood out was how consistently great year after year. He just played great all the time without bad seasons mixed with great ones. Just an outstanding all around great player

I think there were 82 living Hall of Famers Jan. 1, 2020. Since then 10 have died.

Yup, this about sums it up. Nobody in Baseball history was as consistently excellent year after year, for so many years, as Hank Aaron was.

Most seasons with 300+ Total Bases (15)
Most seasons with 30+ Home Runs (15) *tied by A. Rodriguez
Most seasons with 100+ Runs Created (18)
Most seasons with 6+ WAR (16) *tied by B. Bonds

I've been dreading this day. One of my childhood heroes, one of the greatest to ever take the field, and a true gentleman off the field. RIP to one of the best.

We keep seeing HOFers pass away in recent history... this one's the biggest of them all.

                  Godspeed, Henry.

So technically he holds all 4 of those records for people who played clean.

What about Willie Mays? He was great for a stretch of 18 seasons.

RIP to one the game's true legends. Aaron will be missed.

For me, Hank Aaron is still the all time home run leader, and will be until somebody clean hits more.

But if he never hit a home run in his life, he still would have over 3000 hits. Think about that.

He's just one of two seasons behind for most of these. The Korean War may have contributed to that to some extent.

If Pete Rose never hit a homerun, he would have 4121 hits.

Those were the first words that came to my mind.
