How much of our money is being spent deposing ballplayers for hours at a time?
    I'd like to know

A lot of our money is being spent in ways even more worthless than that (I'm talking about things like spinach subsidies, money to study the mating habits of the fruit fly, etc.).
46 wins to match last year's total

That's why I was specifically citing things that are less or not controversial in the first place. There's a big problem with pork barrel spending, which is where a lot of the waste is going.

Exactly 14.25 million dollars at the end of today.

You may be joking but it sounds all too realistic

You know, I read somewhere why we're doing this, it was pretty interesting, but, not interesting enough that I would be able to remember the reasons.

There are more things that money is spent on that I'm sure we'd all find are pretty useless.

Are you suggesting that these cheating scumbags be allowed to get away with their actions, because of the cost? If so, your nickname is a lie.

I think what he's trying to say is that he doesn't want the feds being involved because he thinks it wastes the taxpayers' money. But of course, as we all know, baseball wasn't going to fix itself, so the feds had to butt in.

It is our money and we all have hot button issues that we like or don't like to see our money being used on. The first poster appears to not appreciate his/her money being used to subpeona and interview ballplayers. I would agree with that position, it is a waste of my money (which probably comes out to .02 cents not dollars). If they are going to waste my money I would much rather perfer to choose on what they waste it on.

I think we all would. Well said.

I ask how much tax money is being spent
you in such a charming fashion introduce the players.
I feel very strongly that we have far better things to use our all too often wasted money on then in house MLB problems or NFL problems(Specter) for that matter
