There's technically nothing wrong with the thread, outside it's a little less than respectful toward Fielder. Either way, please refrain from comments about usefulness. Personal opinions about such should remain above and behind the keyboard.

Prince still has a little ways to go to catch up to his old man. If you think he's big now, you should have seen him at age 10, when the kid wasn't so muscular. And he could crush the ball, then, too.

I don't see Prince Fielder as fat. He's listed at 260 lbs. When he was drafted he weighed 300 lbs. Fielder is a large man. He has huge arms, thick wrists and, incredible think legs. But he's not fat in the traditional sense. If he were fat where is his big gut? His stomach doesn't hang over his belt. It's a bit hard to tell in photos because he wears a really baggy uniform. This photo really shows how thickly muscled Prince is. Look at his legs, his upper arms and wrists.

Given that I think the amount of weight Prince can lose is very limited. I doubt he could get under 240 pounds.

OH WOW! Seriously? I watched this game and all I could think of every time I saw Fielder was how fat he was.

There was a foul ball hit early in the game down the first base line and you could see how fat and slow he is. He didn't come anywhere near it. And while he was running you could see all the jello jiggling. I also saw him ground out and by the time the ball was thrown to first I think Fielder had taken about five steps. So he's fat AND lazy.

You're asking for it, though. Would you call Ryan Howard "lazy"? He's "fat" too, so he must be "lazy" since he can't run out every ground ball either.

EDIT: Besides, that's a thing I like to call a "small sample size". Just because you saw one instance of Prince Fielder not running out a ground ball doesn't mean he's lazy.

I guess you didn't bother to read my previous post. Fielder is a very large man. We all agree on that. I sure he has some fat but I wouldn't classify him as fat. How much weight do you think he could realistically lose?

and to say he is fatter than Cecil is a lie...I didn't even see Prince...but I did watch Cecil for years...and Prince cannot be that fat.
