    What formula did you use?

Basically, it's empiric math, based on history stats /2000.-2007./

      For ex. for 2007.
      Code:
      	Most Valuable Batter MVB
      1	Alex Rodriguez 5.86
      2	Jimmy Rollins 5.47
      3	Hanley Ramirez 5.34
      4	Matt Holliday 5.25
      5	David Wright 5.20
      6	Jose Reyes 5.16
      7	Magglio Ordonez 5.05
      8	David Ortiz 4.95
      9	Prince Fielder 4.84
      10	Grady Sizemore 4.74
      11	Eric Byrnes 4.67
      12	Curtis Granderson 4.66
      13	Ryan Howard 4.59
      14	Brian Roberts 4.56
      15	Brandon Phillips 4.55
      16	Miguel Cabrera 4.55
      17	Albert Pujols 4.54
      18	Ichiro Suzuki 4.53
      19	Bobby Abreu 4.53
      20	Carlos Lee 4.52
Value is in the range from the worst 0 and the best 7.

      My math is:

      MVB=(RBI+R+1B+ BB+2*2B +2.5*SB+3*3B+ 4.5*HR+ 0.5*AVG*AB)/162 min=150AB
Of course, player could reach the best mark near the end of the season.

Just a little comment. I believe instead of 162, you should have games played.
Unlike most other team sports, in which teams usually have an equivalent number of players on the field at any given time, in baseball the hitting team is at a numerical disadvantage, with a maximum of 5 players and 2 base coaches on the field at any time, compared to the fielding team's 9 players. For this reason, leaving the dugout to join a fight is generally considered acceptable in that it results in numerical equivalence on the field, and a fairer fight.

I tried it, I know this idea, too.
But, there are some unlogical moments then, for ex. player with 50 etc. games could be the best hitter. It's not ok.

            Example 2007:

            Rick Ankiel
            mark with G=47 4.42 --------- and only 1.28 /mark with G=162
            Milton Bradley
            mark with G=61 4.43 -------- and only 1.67 /G=162

            etc.
Seems like Ankiel is among the best season's hitters in 2007 because he has 4.42 mark but it's wrong. He played only 47 games and he had a very short period of playing baseball in 2007.
It's much better when Beltran has 4.42 mark but with 144 games, nearly 100 more then Ankiel.
            That's not the same thing.

            Another unlogical example:
            Jacoby M Ellsbury 4.53 / 0.92
            With G=33 Ellsbury is super-hitter 4.53 but it's only 33 games!?
And a regular season is 162 games.
I want to stimulate those hitters which have more season's games.
