Thia Pack Rat has absolutely no shame or honor.

BOSTON (AP)—Brian McNamee was planning to dump all his mementos of his relationship with Roger Clemens.

Then a friend persuaded him to think better of it.

Now the former personal trainer who claims he injected the seven time Cy Young Award winner with steroids is selling dozens of personal items in an online auction, and donating the profits to his juvenile diabetes charity.

A baseball signed by Clemens and McNamee that started the day Wednesday at $38 was bidding $4,000 by late afternoon, said Phil Castinetti, a friend of McNamee’s and owner of SportsWorld in Saugus who is handling the sale.

At Castinetti’s suggestion, McNamee turned over 50 to 60 items including hats, uniforms, balls and pictures of Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Jose Canseco — “all the steroid guys,” Castinetti says.

To make them unique, McNamee also signed them, and managed to take a dig at Clemens at the same time. Clemens often signs “Cy 7” after his name to denote his seven Cy Youngs.

McNamee signed some of his “Ly 0,”—as in zero lies.

The first auction will end Friday.

    Sorry, no syringes.

Heard the rat say with my own ears at the Congress hearing that he had no intentions of making any profits in the future concerning Clemens.

As it says in the article, he's donating the profits to his charity.

This is great - I give McNamee credit for this. Juvenile diabetes is a great cause, and I'm sure the mementos mean nothing to McNamee anymore after Roger threw him under the bus.

      WELL DONE McNAMEE! :applaud::applaud::applaud:

Using a charity cliam for profit ranks right up there with McNamee driving around with a medical condition that causes him to pass out. Lucky he hit a bus instead of a pedestrian.

I hate how people are calling him a rat.

Call it what you'd like - I have a feeling a significant % here would sing like a canary if facing down prosecuters threatening jail time. I'd even suggest it was some that are calling names now.

Either way, it's just name calling big deal - the fact is McNamee is more credible than the poor martyr routine Clemens is strumming.

What was he supposed to do? Lie and go to jail to protect a bunch of cheaters?

The problem is that some here would not be dealing steroids to anyone. If you do something dishonest, how could you even complain about facing jail time? Same with narcotic dealers, bank robbers and other felons.

Roger threw himself under the bus, with help from McNamee. After that point, I stopped caring.

I don't know, maybe he wouldn't have gotten himself in this mess if he wasn't pushing the steroids to begin with. But that's just me. Breaking the law and turning in your customers does make him a rat. Nothing noble about the baseball world's version of Sammy the Bull.

I look at it this way. Greg Andersons wallet is fatter IMO and at this point he has a lot more honor, with more respect shown to him. Or at least by fans that share my opinion. McNamee is just a busted rat now trying to sell memorabilia so he can buy some more cheese to eat. I don't even know how the rat can look in the mirror to shave his whiskers.
