Are playing into 21st inning. I wonder how much longer it's going to go.

Just 1 more inning. Still listening to the wrap up show on KOA radio here in Littleton.

Willy T won it with his speed and a couple throwing erorrs by Khalil Greene and Josh Bard. Tulo drove him in from 3rd with a double.

Did it last 22 innings or 22 rounds in the squared circle? DING-DING-DING!

Get box score updates on the Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres baseball game.

          15 pitchers, 165 men coming to bat (81 COL; 84 SDP), 37 Ks, 25 H, 13 BB and only 2 errors.

What will they do for an encore?

If Greene didn't make that error during the top of 22nd inning, who knows how much longer the game would have went.

Willy Taveras had ten at bats in the game.

Just wonder what would've happened had San Diego scored a run in the bottom of the 22nd. I think the guy's teammates would've tried stopping him from scoring unless there was another guy right behind him. Or am I just dreaming this one up?

Surprised that it was Khalil that opened the door with a error. Guy usually kills the Rox with his glove and bat. Greene never gets mentioned with the top SS's but he sure is one.

I was looking at the scoreboard on MLB.com and saw that the Mets and Nationals played 14 innings. I thought to myself, "wow, they played a pretty long ballgame." The next score is the Rockies and Padres and my jaw dropped.
Unlike most other team sports, in which teams usually have an equivalent number of players on the field at any given time, in baseball the hitting team is at a numerical disadvantage, with a maximum of 5 players and 2 base coaches on the field at any time, compared to the fielding team's 9 players. For this reason, leaving the dugout to join a fight is generally considered acceptable in that it results in numerical equivalence on the field, and a fairer fight.

I had the webcast on until midnight, then I got tired and went to bed. I believe it was in the 18th or 19th at that point. I'm sure this is the only 20+ inning game a lot of these guys will ever play in.
                    WAR? Prove it!

I think somebody was bound to make a mistake. This game wasn't a test of skills, it was a test of attrition and it seems as if SD folded first, lol.

And think the bullpens probably thought they'd have 1, maybe 2 innings to do since Peavy was pitching. Alot of tired arms im sure!
