Why Are The Nats Still Wearing # 42 ?

In last nights Nationals game vs the Mets, Lastings Milledge was wearing # 42.
Can anybody explain this ?

Yeah, I was wondering about that too, noticed Ray King wearing it as well.

I didn't watch every pitch of every inning, but I saw most of the game. It wasn't mentioned by the SNY announcers, at least during the portions I saw.
Did the Nats make this a big promotion night ? or was it low key ? Seems almost like the honor was done as an after thought.
