If the thread starter would like a poll up, please indicate the poll questions and we can have one added to this thread. Also, should the poll be public (where the names of who voted for whom shall be seen) or not?

Chipper, definitely. Manny's being Manny again, he got that banner to look at in left field when he's at home and it's messed him up so that he's trying for a HR with every swing.

Everyone forgets about Griffey and it drives me crazy. The guy fell off the radar but he's going to hit 600 HOME RUNS!

It's because he took so long to hit 598.
Unlike most other team sports, in which teams usually have an equivalent number of players on the field at any given time, in baseball the hitting team is at a numerical disadvantage, with a maximum of 5 players and 2 base coaches on the field at any time, compared to the fielding team's 9 players. For this reason, leaving the dugout to join a fight is generally considered acceptable in that it results in numerical equivalence on the field, and a fairer fight.

He'll only be the 4th non-roider to reach 600 (presuming Sosa and Bonds did roid up), which is very impressive regardless of era. No-one has ever had a serious steroid alligation against Jr, and i do believe his hitting is all natural. If it wasnt for bonds and Sosa reaching the mark in questionable circumstances i think he would get alot more attention and praise.

IMO If it wasn't for all the 'Roided up pitchers, Griffy, Bonds and Sosa would all have a lot more homeruns.

Can you back up your contention it's not an even playing field? I think there are more hitters that use than pitchers. A lot more. More power hitters than power pitchers, too.

                    0-3mph vs 2-4+ft?????

Steroids don't hit the ball or locate/movement the pitch.

                    Still 97-100% player/pitcher out there.

We can debate at who was 'roiding it up the most -pitchers vs. batters all day long, but one thing that cannot be debated is: homerun rates skyrocketed in the mid 90's through the mid 2000's. Steroids? Who knows, but one thing that I am not sure can be questiones is: it has been easier for guys to hit homeruns the past 15 years than ever before. I am not even saying that Griffey,Sosa, etc. don't deserve the recognition for 600 homeruns that they will recieve, but you can't honestly say that cuurent homerun totals aren't skewed someway or another.
