Manny hit his 500th HR tonight over the right-center field wall during the 7th inning tonight. Despite it being away, Camden is still rocking. A half inning later, the place is still going crazy! Congrats to Manny!

As much as I dislike Manny as a person, I respect him for being one hell of a baseball player. Congratulations to him and his career and hitting 500 cements his place in Cooperstown, as if it wasn't set already.
The only thing that I don't like about his milestone is the way he walked half way to first base and just stared. Seriously, I applaud him for all he has done in his career, but I hate it when players do that. I know he wasn't trying to show up Chad Bradford, but I know that feeling and it doesn't feel good when you give up a home run and the batter just walks around the bases and looks at where he hit it. Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Pete Rose, and Henry Aaron made a habit of hustling around the bases with their heads down so that they didn't show up the pitcher. I just wish players nowadays did that (that goes to Bonds, Soriano, and Griffey, Jr. as well).5,008 innings pitched, 13th all-time, most active
355 wins, 8th all-time, most active
3.16 lifetime ERA
3,371 strikeouts, 10th all-time
109 complete games, most active
18 Gold Gloves, most all-time
First to win four consecutive Cy Young Awards
He could throw a baseball through a lifesaver if you asked him!-Joe Morgan
