I agree that when he hits a solo homers with not much signifiance in game then it gets a bit irritating. But when you hit your 500th HR i feel you can take as long as you damn well want to watch that ball fly over the wall, it could well be his last big milestone, not sure if he'll get to 600.

Not me. Manny being Manny never played well in Cleveland.

With the tiny strike zone and small ballparks, 500 HRs is a bit of a yawner.

I wish he would have done it with the Indians. I wish he could go to the Hall as a Cleveland Indian.

I wish we could have afforded to keep him.

    I miss Manny. :noidea

As much as I dislike Manny as a person, I respect him for being one hell of a baseball player. Congratulations to him and his career and hitting 500 cements his place in Cooperstown, as if it wasn't set already.

The only thing that I don't like about his milestone is the way he walked half way to first base and just stared. Seriously, I applaud him for all he has done in his career, but I hate it when players do that. I know he wasn't trying to show up Chad Bradford, but I know that feeling and it doesn't feel good when you give up a home run and the batter just walks around the bases and looks at where he hit it. Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Pete Rose, and Henry Aaron made a habit of hustling around the bases with their heads down so that they didn't show up the pitcher. I just wish players nowadays did that (that goes to Bonds, Soriano, and Griffey, Jr. as well).
