I think the majority of us prefer that this not happen.

Myself included, but it's looking more and more like it will.

Do you want it to happen amidst adulation in the city by the bay or the boos in LA?

          ^^^ That's not what I asked.

          It's likely going to happen

When and where do you think it will happen?

Where do you want it to happen?

Road. I'd like to see (hear) the crowd reaction as he slithers around the bases, corrupting the record book even further.

                  That's my thinking as well.

But you know him, he'll have an *** eating grin on his face the whole way.

There's no need to wish harm upon any player, regardless of what one may feel about him.

I also hope that he doesn't pass Ruth, but with his already having 708, it's practically a foregone conclusion.

As to the original question, I get the feeling that it presume many of us actually want him to break the record. This individual personally doesn't.

I want to see him pass it at home. It would be even better if it were against The Hated Dodgers. Stop the game right there, have a ceremony. I think that would be fun. But if it was on the road I wouldn't mind too much. I mean, 99.9% chance that he gets booed anywhere, but there's a small chance he gets applauded by many fans. I mean, just remember a few years ago in LA. He hit a home run and got...

...a STANDING OVATION from the crowd! So, really, anything is possible.

Not that I want it too, but like you said it is going to happen so let it happen on the road where he will get the respect he deserves.
I signed with the Milwaukee Braves for three-thousand dollars. That bothered my dad at the time because he didn't have that kind of dough. But he eventually scraped it up.~Bob Uecker

Road definately. We know what the scene will be like if he does it at home. Same ol' song and dance in front of the Giants fans with blinders on. At least on the road we'd get to feel the country's true reaction.

Until the recent book came out about bonds, he might of recieved some cheers from the road crowd, with a mixture of boos, atleast according to this poll.

The worst possible place for him pass Ruth is on June 2nd, 3rd or 4th- In New York.

Anywhere else doesn't matter, that's the single place you shouldn't want him to pass at...
