    1) The Astros placed 1B Jeff Bagwell on the 15 day DL.

    Bagwell admits that his career could be over. Dr. James Andrews told him that he has numerous degenerative bone spurs in his shoulder which need to be removed, but the doctors thought that, if they did during his last shoulder surgery, that either slow down or prevent him from recovering.
