Lol, of course Pete wants to see them punished. Misery loves company, so they say. Pete got busted doing something wrong and is paying the price, so why shouldn't others have to pay the price if they get caught doing something wrong? The good thing there is that he says he only cares about the last 2 years where they have had the policy and testing in place. Anything else is just allegations. He also gives Bonds props as being one of the 5 best players ever, coming from Pete Rose, thats pretty high praise.

Did he state that had Bonds declined naturally he would be a top 5 player, or was he basing that statement on what he's done unnaturally? We'll never know what would have been. He could have gotten hurt in 2000 and been done, or he could have declined like everyone else who has ever played the game and still been a top 20 player.

And in other news, when asked what color kettles should be, Rose replied, "Black."

That was not a clever way of trying the revive the what if Bonds was white thread.

Do you not make a distinction Digg? One was as a player, one wasn't. One impacted records, one didn't, etc...

I can't really speak for Pete Rose, but I would think that he was taking into account Bond's whole career when he stated that. You may want to check with him on that one though.
