  • Who are the new young pitchers we'll see in 2006?

I was reading this thread in the Seattle forum re Felix Hernandez, who's a young phenom, even compared to Dwight Gooden (see article inside this). I'm wondering who are the others?

Any links to their minor league stats, as well as what makes them so prized, hopes for them so strong, please do share.

    Thx.

24-year-old southpaw Sean Marshall will be taking the 4th starter's job for the Cubs this year, at least until Wood and Prior return. He's compiled a 2.65 ERA in minor league ball as high as AA West Tennessee and gives up home runs only 0.43 times per 9 innings. This spring, he had yet to give up an earned run until his final tune-up start this weekend in Las Vegas. I'm looking forward to seeing him make his debut - no pressure, Sean, but it's on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball at Wrigley Field against St. Louis.
