Chris Shelton will hit for the cycle sometime this year.
    That is all. Carry on!

Wouldn't surprise me that if the Tigers make the playoffs he wins the MVP over the usual people.

    That's a big if though...

The Tigers are off to a fine start and Shelton has been a big contributor to that. I wouldn't worry about the MVP thing though. All player combined hit for the cycle 2-3 times a year, so picking one of them to do it is pretty problematic.

Cycles are pretty rare. They're as easy to predict as no-hitters.

Yanks will win the division ... by several games this time, not just the team-team matchups!

Indians will win the Wild Card!

Shelton is a stud. Every team would like to have a player like him. He is young, for Tiger fans, I hope he doesn't hit the wall like some of the past young players.

Not quite every team (right Pirates fans).

Chris hit the wall last season, and I'm sure he'll be better prepared for the rigors of an everyday lineup position this time around. His defense has looked solid, which was his biggest knock coming into the new year. Everybody knows he can hit, and it appears he's learned how to come through in the clutch. He's been in a bit of a mini-slump over the past few games, but I have to believe that is due to the combination of his age, experience, and the newfound national attention he's recieved due to his unbelieveable start to '06. Leyland and the vets will help him deal with that. Fantasy baseball owners will learn to love him this season, and it's only a matter of time before the Tigers lock him up long-term and he becomes not only a mainstay in Detroit, but a hero.
