Seriously, who signs a 39 year old (turning 40 on June 2nd), coming off a season with a 91 OPS+ to be a DH? It's mind-boggling. I'd rather see 43 year old Bernie Williams get a shot. I doubt he'd do any worse. My top 10 players:
1. Babe Ruth
2. Barry Bonds
3. Ty Cobb
4. Ted Williams
5. Willie Mays
6. Alex Rodriguez
7. Hank Aaron
8. Honus Wagner
9. Lou Gehrig
10. Mickey Mantle

Indeed Ibanez will be the DH versus RHPs and play occasionally in the OF, a good move if you ask me, considering his .747 OPS and .440 SLG vs righties last year (as opposed to his .583 OPS and .353 SLG vs LHP in '11). Can't imagine why Yankees fans would complain.San Francisco Giants, World Series Champions in 2010, 2012, and 2014!!!

I'll venture a guess at his basic level stats this year: .262 avg, 12 HRs, 53 RBI, .712 OPS.WAR? Prove it!

This is a baffling move kind of thrilled as a Rays fan one easy out lols. Why didn't they sign Johnny Damon i wonder? Methinks damon was asking a bit too much money! All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing. -Unknown
