If he keeps his OBP high and stays healthy I suppose it's possible--improbable, but possible. Davey Lopes has really improved Kemp's steal pct..

the most important thing is that he becomes a little more patient. he is not the guy who walks a ton. he improved in that regard but 24 of his 74 BBs have been IBBs. If you take his normal IBB levels he would still have been in the 50s.

After his monster season pitchers will throw him a lot slightly of the plate. he cannot get frustrated by this and start fishing an inch or two off the plate but instead needs to take the walk and force the pitcher to throw strikes. this is not an easy thing to do.

If I was him I would keep my bat on the shoulder the first games a lot (even take 1 or 2 looking Ks) to really demonstrate the pitchers "not with me-if you don't want to challenge me I don't care".
