  • Most underrated players in baseball

Ben Zobrist is the first choice that comes to mind.

I think Jered Weaver was the most underrated pitcher in baseball for a few years, but he may have finally started to get some more recognition in 2011. I still think he's underrated though.

I think Shin-Soo Choo also qualifies, though he had an off year in 2011.

I've long wondered...if Catfish Hunter had just been "Jim" Hunter for his entire career, would he be in the Hall of Fame?

LOL @ Sam Fuld being "under"rated. He's one of the most overrated players in the game.

He's barely above replacement level and he's been given legendary status on SportsCenter and MLB network because of a few diving catches.

                  Paul Konerko
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

"No matter how great you were once upon a time — the years go by, and men forget,” - W. A. Phelon in Baseball Magazine in 1915. “Ross Barnes, forty years ago, was as great as Cobb or Wagner ever dared to be. Had scores been kept then as now, he would have seemed incomparably marvelous.”

The last two years have arguably been the best of his career.

I remember when he came up with the Dodgers! That seems like ancient history. He's had a great and under appreciated career. I wonder if he has enough left in the tank to get to 500 HRs?

If Paul Konerko gets to 500 home runs, would he be the first clean 500 home run guy to not make it into the Hall of Fame?

If he were to get elected, it would be a horrible selection. He's certainly had a nice career, but FAR from Hall Of Fame level.
