  • How long before Bobby Valentine is fired?

Red Sox are 0-3. Its only a matter of time before Bobby Valentine does something nutty. Thats what he does. Lets see what people think. When will Bobby Valentine be fired?

Normally, you'd say, "0-3? So what, it's still early." But every game still counts. If the Red Sox could only win 2 of their first 7 games last year, they would've won the Wild Card.
Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

If hitting a baseball is the toughest thing to do in sports, then pitching must be the easiest thing to do in sports.

For sure sooner or later he will say something stupid, he always does.

Sox started 0-6 last year and was arguably the best team in Baseball from May-August so I am not that worried yet but I am not wild with Bobby V from the start so a small part of me hopes he implodes but i digress.

I never understood this hiring. I am a big believer in giving new guys chances, instead of rehashing the same old names year after year

rehashing gave Harry Caray his chance with the Cubs.

Bobby V will last more than a year because no one manages successfully without a reliever. A new manager will not solve that problem.

                    Oh boy.

This is going to be a looooooooooooooong season. Not because of the boys on the field, but because of the idiots with microphones micromanaging every game and pretending they know better, made worse by the idiots with radios who know enough about the sport to be concerned, but not enough to properly measure the BS quotient of aforementioned microphoned morons.

People, stop listening to the media and let baseball run it's course. The Yankees are 0-3 too, and I hate to say it, but right now their fans are smarter than ours because they actually know how little that matters. It's like Sox fans have completely forgotten how to watch regular season baseball.

I hear what you're saying, Imgran, but the Yanks didn't collapse in a heap at the end of last season and miss the playoffs entirely. I've managed to stay pretty calm so far, but that pen really has me worried...I also wonder how healthy Buchholz is.

So what? Last September is not a carte blanche to abandon all perspective.

It's hard for me to say "so what" about what happened last September, and I think there is a worry that the team has become deeply dysfunctional. Unfortunately, I don't think Bobby V of the bright smile is the man to solve such a problem if it turns out to be true.
But, it is just three games, and I'm staying calm as I said. I'm also not surprised by the early uproar. If they stomp the Tigres at home, it'll all be forgotten.

Since when? The media does nothing but abandon all perspective and look in the rear view window.
                            Bobby V will be fine.

                              Yankees are 0-3 as well.
