Sorry for lack of a better term, but do hitters take real pitches from their own pitchers? I mean, all I see is hitters taking soft pitches from coaches to hit and pitchers practicing pitches with no batters.

there are "simulated games" where they face real pitching. but this is usually after an injury or before the season starts. also sometimes pitchers throw BP after an injury to get some work.Originally posted by UnderPressure View Post

however they hit some har stuff from the machine and MLB BP is pretty hard to compared to beer league BP. those guys throw it hard into the zone. if they throw it with 70 MPH from 40 feet you have a quite realistic speed.I now have my own non commercial blog about training for batspeed and power using my training experience in baseball and track and field.Comment
