    ...from an article on the White Sox PG and the dominance of pitching recently incuding a tip of the cap to 49 year old Jamie Moyer ...

    All I know is this: if Moyer throws a no-hitter we might have to start talking about lowering the mound again.

    1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

    Another issue is that batting averages are near an all time low relative to slugging and on-base%.

      How do these numbers compare to the 80's/early 90's. Not to mention the mid 60's through the 70's. It may be a little too early to drop the mound. Lets wait until we see Moyer's numbers in June.

        I was just noticing that we had an offensive "surge" with the expansion of '77.
