  • Will Ryhmes hit with 95MPH Fastball Collapses/Passes out.....

There is a Video of it. IT was honestly scary to watch. Now i was talking to some friends who were over and they think a retaliation is in order but i don't think it was intentional what do you all think?

Wow, you could see the seams of the ball pretty clear in his arm.

I don't think there was anything intentional about that. I didn't see the game but I'm not sure what reason they'd have to go after that guy.

I'm curious as to what made him pass out. Shock maybe?

That was the second batter in the game to be hit first was scott. And He kept coming inside on Ryhmes

Medical staff/Madon said he passed out because of Adrenaline but i thought it was pain or Shock.

Lots of people pass out from stuff like that. People pass out after getting a shot in the arm all the time. Im surprised more players dont pass out after getting smoked by a pitch.

^^ Never been hit on the arm by a 95 mile an hour fastball.

I hope Rhymes is okay. I honestly didn't know it was possible to pass out after being hit in the *arm*...

Wonder if any of the Redsox are going to get plunked tomorrow because of this.

Not sure with Moore on the mound although he does have a 97MPH Fastball but he is a kid and a rookie so i doubt he would go head hunting.

^ And I doubt Maddon would order retaliation, either.

If the teams were reversed, Bobby V might, though.

MAddon isn't like that. There has been only one instance where i recall retaliation from our pitchers and ironically enough it was against the sox back in 2008.

^ I read in this book that the feud between the Rays and Redsox went on for most of a decade...nothing as serious as this, but if any of that is still simmering, it might flare up again. But I agree, Maddon wouldn't order it. The players might take it upon themselves though.

                            Damn, that left a mark.
Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

If hitting a baseball is the toughest thing to do in sports, then pitching must be the easiest thing to do in sports.
