Could it be argued that the fact that there hasn't been a "Triple Crown" winner since 1967 means that the quality of play has improved? Or is it a huge stretch?

Josh still has a healthy lead in HR and RBI but his batting average has been falling and he is now in 2nd place behind Konerko.

He has a shot to lead in average, but Dunn is gonna pass him in home runs. Cabrera is gonna get hot as well and be serious competition.

If Evan Longoria didn't get hurt, we'd be talking about his triple crown chances as well.

It might be a bit early to speculate on now, but it's fun and Hamilton has as good a shot as anyone. It'd be nice to see it done. Odds are long, but he's got a shot.
