What happened to Chone Figgins?

Everyone will probably think of him now. Fact is he needs to relax.

As for Figgins, I do believe that "quitting" now just because he will make $36 million in four years doesn't make much sense. If he quits now, no one will want to give him any more money when he's looking for another job. Then where does that leave him?

That leaves him with 'only' 40 million dollars+ to live on for the rest of his life. Poor guy.

Eschew the wealth envy sarcasm for a second. The fact is that if ballplayers just decide not to give a damn because they're financially secure, then it destroys their future earning power. I hope that is not what is happening with Figgins. That's all I'm saying.
