  • Mets-Cardinals...

    History in the making?

Johan Santana will head to the 9th with the no-no going. Will he be the first Met in history?

He also has a pretty high pitch count at this point.. 122 according to the Cardinals broadcasters...

nice although they are saying beltran ball hit the chalk and was a missed call

Well, there may be one great defensive play. But is there really always one wrong fair/foul call?

There's usually one in any given game, so... yes?

First time for everything! Congrats to Johan for throwing the Mets 1st no hitter. Amazing it took the Mets 50 years to accomplish that, where some teams like the Angels and Expos got their first no hitter very early in their existence.

That was very enjoyable to watch. Congrats Johan Santana, one of my favorite active players.

It really is too bad that so many of these have calls like this come up. After the fact, I don't think there's anybody who will say that the umpire was right on that call at third. And that's too bad because Santana had a great game! And he got some defensive help to get him there too.. that play in left was spectacular.. hopefully Baxton? is alright..

                          quite a day for baseball

also a college no hitter in the tournament

and a game in the 21st inning in the tournament

Congrats to him and the mets but it shouldn't of been a No-No Beltrain had a sure fire double but nadda and at that point it was only 2-0 mets.

Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.
