I've also noticed the recent trend in MLB teams favoring pitchers over hitters during these drafts. I suppose it has to do with the fact that the pitcher is the main individual who can control the outcome of the game. But at the same time they are also a bigger risk/higher reward gamble than hitters. So it is a nice change of pace to see that the top three picks in this year's draft happen to not be pitchers.

the hard part with baseball is that it seems much harder to judge talent, and your fans have no idea if who you drafted is going to be a good player...you cant really trust the numbers they put up either as that does not mean it will translate to much tougher competition either...so I have no idea if whom the Cubs drafted is going to be a good player or not

    2012 Draft

Here are the results of day one. SS correa went first for the Astros and OF Bruxton went second
    for the twins http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?...s_mlb&c_id=mlb

what do you think? Is this a weak draft? the was no superstar like in the previous 2 years (strasburg, harper) and the favorite according to MLB.com only went 8th. A lot of HS hitters also when in the last years a lot of teams seemed to favor arms (top4 last year were all pitchers).
