Los Angeles Dodgers Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda suffered a mild heart attack Monday in New York, according to TMZ.com.
Lasorda, 84, was in town to represent the Dodgers at the MLB draft. However, he wasn’t in attendance during the second day of the event today.
Sources told TMZ.com that Lasorda is OK and is expected to be released from the hospital Wednesday.
Lasorda managed the Dodgers from 1976-1996, winning two World Series titles and four National League pennants. He was named NL manager of the year in 1983 and 1988.
He was voted into the Hall of Fame in 1997 by the Veterans Committee.
