Not sure I understand. Did this poll offend you? I didn't see a poll like this and felt it would get some good "back and forth" going.

No. Home field advantage should alternated every year or the team with the better record gets home field advantage.

Not sure. I'm trying to find out if I did something wrong

Those are the two options I'm wholeheartedly in favor of. I've never liked the idea of an exhibition game determining the HFA in something as important as the WS.
                Put it in the books.

I vote "Doesn't matter" on the poll.

Baseball is the one sport where home-field advantage has no benefit.

They can continue to base home-field advantage on the AS game; they can alternate every other year; or they can go with whoever has the better regular season record.

                    It simply doesn't matter.

So, it's just a coincidence that home teams have won at least 50.9% of games for at least 90 straight seasons? 53.9% on average.

I love the All-Star Game, but the HFA thing is quite artificial. There's no point to it.
46 wins to match last year's total

If it happens as often as not, what does that prove?
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

                            So, you think 53.9% = 46.1%?

I don't prefer the way it currently is.

                              1. Allow the team which advances to the World Series with the best won-loss percentage have the home field advantage. Even if baseball teams don't enjoy as big of an advantage as other sports . . . allow this for the FANS. The team with HFA fans will potentially get one more game in which to attend compared to their home team's opponents fans. If your a true baseball fan, you know this is important as well, to a fan.

                              OR

                              2. If they insist on making the All-Star game winning league decide the HFA for the series . . . stretch the All-Star break to 5-6 days and allow the manager to strategize absolute! Let him play his best team for 9 innings (barring extra innings of course). Allow his starting pitcher to go 7-8-9 innings . . . don't play every member of the team merely to play them and give them an appearance. If something as important as HFA is to be decided with this contest, measures should be taken to allow league representative team to do all they can to win the game. Obviously, the longer break is to insure starting pitchers could slip right back into their own teams rotation without short rest.
                              Some's basturds, some's ain't, thats the score.
