  • How many World Series championships will the Angels win over the next 5 years?

With Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, Mark Trumbo, Kendrys Morales, and Torii Hunter leading the Angels offense and Jered Weaver, Dan Haren, Ervin Santana, and CJ Wilson leading the Angels pitching rotation, they are an absolute monster of a team. How many World Series championships do you think they will win in the next 5 years? Personally, I say two. I might have even said 3, because I don't see any N.L. team that will be as strong as them within the next 5 years, but the Rangers and the Yankees are still strong enough to beat them in the ALDS/ALCS.

I dont know I think at least one. This Mike Trout is something else. He got 3 more stolen bases tonight.

I know. I can't believe how well he is performing. He has, so far, proven to be the exact definition of a 5 tool threat right out of the gate. With the way he is playing now, I'd be willing to call him the next Ken Griffey Jr.

            Zero.

I can't see Pujols aging well; Morales looks like a 1-year wonder; Torri Hunter is 36; Vernon Wells is playing everyday.

I like their pitching though. That should keep them competitive. But I don't see a dynasty in the making.

It certainly won't be zero. The Yankees strung along multiple World Series and, in my opinion, this Angels team is better than any team the Yankees have had in the past twenty years.

I dont even think Pujol's matters anymore as long as he has average seasons I think this Mike Trout will be the reason they win. He doesn't seem like a slump type of guy with that speed either. This Trumbo looks good too. I almost like the Angels offense better than the Rangers.

Yeah, me too. It is crazy how it really only took one year to change that. It is going to be amazing to watch them square off in a playoff series. That is for sure.

Can you put so much faith in newcomers like Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo?

If you've followed baseball long enough, you know that you shouldn't.

So many players have come up, played like future Hall of Famers, and then by age 32 you never hear anything about them.

You have a point but this is a pretty balanced team and a big market team who isn't afraid to spend money. Trumbo might not pan out but unless Trout gets injured I think he's a franchise player. I'm usually weary on young players but Mike Trout really strikes me as a cant miss player. I was weary on Griffey Jr too back in 89. I like Bryce harper too but i'm not totally convinced on him yet either. If Pujols starts having 80% seasons of what he used to be this team will win multiple WS.

Yeah I never really gave em much thought until I looked em up earlier but this is one good team. California really has some good teams this year.

I have followed baseball long enough and I don't praise every new comer that has a good start. However, I am putting faith in newcomers like Trumbo and Trout because they both have great minor league track records AND they both immediately started proving their worth once they were given a full time MLB opportunity. Trumbo had a great rookie year last year by most accounts and he has done ever better during his second season while many players experience a sophomore slump...Meanwhile, Trout had been highly touted the past couple of years and has been blazing a trail ever since he came up and, to be honest, I can't think of any player who was called up at such a young age due to such immense talent and then completely fell off. (Granted, there were a few flukes back in the early days with some players being called up as early as 16 or so.) Either way, if either of them fall off by the age of 32, I'd be absolutely shocked. But at the end of the day, I'm saying within the next 5 years the Angels win 2 World Series and neither of them will be 32 at that point.

That's hilarious. Better than the '98 Yankees?

'98 yankees seen by some as the best team ever and angels are not even in first place...as a yankee hater this is hard to say too
